  1. Hell, I did that at Denny’s and a Big Boy, way before them others come out. also been drunk at Aunt Bea’s, Mama’s BBQ, and a few other holes in the wall, but we won’t talk about that.

  2. Never been in a Waffle House, drunk or sober at any time of the day.

    Guess I’m missing out…

    Nah.

  3. We used to go to boogaloo Bob’s Diner. The owner, Bob, who was also the cook, had mild Tourette’s. He was fairly young, mid to late 40’s. The disease would cause what appeared to be uncontrollable movements, waving his arms around and legs moving in odd ways and rapid blinking, especially when he was excited or stressed because of a large influx of the late night crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. We called it boogloo’s because when the tremors started in earnest he looked like he dancing the boogaloo. We never referred to that name in his presence.

  4. In Norman OK in the 70’s the place to go was Denco’s. Restaurant downstairs and a moving company office upstairs. The restaurant was open until 4:00 if I remember correctly. You would get a Denco’s Darlin with two looking at you. Greasy chili mac with two fried eggs on top. If you could hold that down while drunk you proved your mettle.

A rite of passage of some sort.

  5. George Webb’s in Milwaukee. When eating their chili at 2:00 am you can become volcanic.
