Cow ,Meet Flat Rock

What a lovely Summer we are having so far up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Here it is July 7th or 8th and it’s just pouring rain.

Next week it’s supposed to get up as far as 92.

Its been wet, chilly and windy with a few nice days here and there.

I just hope when it does finally decide to BE SUMMER that it stays that way until late October..

  1. Want to trade for a while? It’s been over a 100 for four weeks, and barely two inches of rain since Jan 1’st. Summer kicked off early this year. We hit a 100 a couple times in March if I remember right. Hard to do much outside…

  2. Same rainfall as STxAR here, with temps above 90 for 24 days now. I’m ready for November. Even one of Spud Nugget’s cold, dark ones.

  3. It’s still the 6th here in the north east and it’s an even 80°. Honestly I only know the date because it says so on the top of this iPad.

  4. South Louisiana here. Heat indexes between 104 and 115 all last week. Getting afternoon showers this week and it’s helping. Plus the garden needed watering. Hate the summer. Come on November… or at least the first weekend of September… dove season opens. Like the monkey said when the train rain over his tail “It won’t be long now”.

  5. My father was stationed at Adair AFS near Corvallis in the early 60s. We had some very warm days, with one day reaching 110 with one week it stayed over 100. That was oddly warm for Albany.

    • That was close to my old stomping grounds! I remember the Adiar AFS, I don’t think it is there anymore…

  6. Here in central New England We’ve had alternating cool and warm, mostly cool, with very little rain. We’re down about 12″ or more precip on the year.

  7. Careful what you ask for Phil. We haven’t had rain in I don’t know how many days. Yards are browning up quite nicely.
