my grandfather had a few words about how worthless the dollar was. he blamed
FDR for taking the country off the gold standard. said the money as good as
ass wipe. I bought a few K-rands back in the late 1970’s when I was in army stationed in WEST BERLIN. hid them inside my speakers to bring back home.
then it became legal to own again, I sold them to get married (dumb idea )
back then, they where going for 275 or so a one oz. coin, when I sold them 3-4 years later, I think I got close to 350 or so each. not sure anymore, but I do remember it was a lot more than I bought them for.
one guy I served with was buying one a month to send home to keep.
he had a stack of them. but he was there for 3 or more years too.
wonder when he sold them or if he didn’t,,,
One of the early man against the beast cult classics. Any wonder it’s not played on any of the streaming services these days?
Dirty mary and crazy larry ended in a similar manner. Human nature at it’s finest. Those sitting there to see the end would be the actual occurrence here soon. I just hope I have the courage of Samuel Whittmore towards the end.
