  1. I’ve gone above 14 w/o supplemental O2.
    As an experiment, at 25 I removed my nasal cannula as I worked word problems. No significant change until almost the five minute mark. Then suddenly, quickly. My pulse oxi remained above 85 then began dropping fairly quickly. I put the cannula back on before I blacked out. Air pressure is still enough for the diaphram to pull in air.

    All this to say 12,000 is not high enough. Take them higher. Let them feel the panic of asphyxiation before blacking out
