Better Built Ford. Rather have this then the last post Velocity…

I’ll pit this, a 1949 Ford F1 with a 1200HP Turbo/Supercharger PU to that Velocity money sink.

  1. The only thing Old School about this is the tin work.
    Full tube chassis.
Twin turbo intercooled and egads of fuel injection.
Though it probably only has a price tag of $100k.
80k of it is probably the powertrain.

  2. Why would you do all that work and not fix the rust?

And what happens if you drive over a speed bump?

  3. a much better choice would be any good or well made pick up truck before 1972
with either a inline 6 or small v8 engine hooked up to a good basic 4 speed tranny.
the old inline 6 cyl had gobs of ump and where still good on gas.
same can be said for the smaller V8 engines depending on the carbs used.
and made before 1970 means you only have a damn PVC valve to deal with.
I don’t need all of that horsepower for anything. just a simple basic pickup with
a good 6 or 8 cyl. engine. a whole easier to fix and maintain .
another thing, why do all of that work to shoehorn a engine like that into anything
    without fixing the bodywork ?
