My uncle broke one in half by chaining it between his trailer-ball nut and a tree. I ended up torching it off so he could put a 2″ on. He used never seize this time.

Been there, done that and have the scars to prove it.
Nope. But I have had to go back to the tool rack for a cheater bar. That being said I’ve never had to undo any larger that 2.5 inches.
