Was in the local supermarket a few years ago when the EBT system went down due to a software upgrade issue. When they announced over the PA system that they could not process EBT payments, a number of folks simply left their carts and walked out. A few others started getting vocal about how they were going to “feed their kids”. We finished up our shopping and left, before things started to get out of hand. This was about a 4 hour outage, not an indefinite suspension of benefits. If the cards don’t work after 11/1, things will get ugly, and fast.

Personally, I hope the cards stop working and the you know who’s have a major chimp out that lasts for days. That’ll be the final nail in the Demonrat coffin. Over the long run, the USA will be a safer place because a lot of those causing the chimp out are going go the way of the Dodo.
