West Hollywood votes to cut Los Angeles County sheriff funding amid crime wave

The move to reduce police funding comes amid a crime wave in Los Angeles County and public opposition

A trendy Los Angeles County community has voted to reduce law enforcement funding despite escalating crime that was up 137% earlier in the year and public backlash. 

The budget for the next two fiscal years will leave West Hollywood with up to five fewer Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol. At the same time the council approved increasing funding for a cultural arts festival.

The budget was approved by a narrow 3-2 vote with Mayor Lauren Meister dissenting as well as Councilman John Erickson.

“Most of the residents and businesses I have heard from are opposed to cutting the Sheriff’s budget,” Meister told Fox News in a statement. “They are outraged that people and organizations from outside our city are dictating to Council how to run our city. The narrative that we can have ‘either Sheriff’s or social services,’ or ‘either Sheriff’s or unarmed security teams’ is false.”

Thirty or forty more armed home invasions ought to get their attention.

Thanks to SCOTUS returning to The Rule of Law as they were written recently,

My little bottle is far too inadequate.

The public meltdowns have been nothing short of EPIC.

Of course the low life scumbags on the Left are taking the recent decisions as an open invitation to protest, burn and threaten outright murder but hey, what is today, Friday?

The same as it was Tuesday and the same it will be a month from Sunday.

The way I’m seeing it though is that these two recent decisions, one nullifying Roe VS Wade finally and the other affirming parts of our very badly damaged Second Amendment are just the beginning.

Left Tards are in a frenzy from coast to coast trying to figure out ways to go around the decision saying that we have an inherent right to carry OUTSIDE of the home and that all these laws that have been passed saying people have to have some super pressing need and then have to prove that need to the satisfaction of those who issue carry permits

are UnConstitutional are making them go back and try to figure out new ways to oppress gun owners.

It’s also making them strike these UnConstitutional laws off the books which is especially delicious to me.

This ruling is also going to have second and third effects.

Then just for shits and grins, Justice Thomas has hinted that he isn’t done with Teh Gays and is seriously considering nullifying some other laws protecting them that he says are also UnConstitutional.

At this point I’ll take everything I can get that sets these Commie Fucks back on their heels and these two rulings have most definitely left a mark that will be felt long after I am dead and don’t give a shit about anything anymore.

Next I would very much like to see these ridiculous Red Flag laws be officially declared as UnConstitutional as they most obviously are just so I can go get a couple of BUCKET FULLS of those delicious Liberal Tears.

I’m trying to rebuild a 15 gallon barrel type industrial vacuum motor.

This thing has turned into a nightmare.

I thought I found a new motor on Fleabay. Most of them are well North of $100 and none of them look right.

I must not have been paying close enough attention.

$50 some bucks, advertised as New in an Open Box, it showed up today and is way too small.

I have searched and searched and can’t find this particular model of an Ametek Lamb vacuum motor and pump.

So I am doing shit the hard way.

It’s a Dayton Industrial barrel vac and it’s way obsolete.

I got it from work because we couldn’t find a motor for it there and they just bought a new one.

Since it’s Vintage you know I just had to have it.

So I just got done ordering some new bearings and some new brush holders from that cretin Bezos and using the Prime option, they are supposed to be here tomorrow.

Just getting what was left of the one and the bigger one turned into a shit show and took well over an hour.

Most of that was finding and setting up a bearing puller conglomeration.

It’s not like there is any hurry or that I don’t have a thousand other things to be doing ya know.

Anyway, I doubt anyone with 20/20 vision could have read those numbers without magnification.

It does highlight the usefulness of a damn cell phone though.

For something besides being a tracking device, a tattle tail and a general pain in the ass.

After two and a half months of April, we finally get some Summer weather.

It has been cloudy, rainy and cold here all freaking year long, with a day here and a day there of nice weather, just enough so that everyone can run and and kkill themselves cramming a month’s worth of yard work into one day.

It was 79yesterday and sunny.

It’s going to stay warm and clear for the next week, so far.

80’s working into the 90’s over the weekend.

Gotta love it.

Go from the mid 50’s to the 90’s in three days.

Everything that I planted in my tiny garden that sprouted drowned except the onion sets.

All of it.

It even rained so hard that it pounded the little onion right out of the ground and I had to go back and reset them. They seem to be doing fine now.

I went and got some more sprouting kits last night and will try to start over.

It’s way late for that but I am going to try.

It’s all I can do.

While most of the country is already hot and facing drought, we have been shivering and getting wrinkled by the rain. All of the rivers are at the top of their banks.

I’m hoping against hope that it stays nice into October, not really that unusual around here.

I swear the seasons have shifted two months backwards.
