Had a speeding ticket thrown out for doing 120 in my outboard drag boat while testing for a race. There was no speed limit posted so no limit.
Went through a lake like that once and had 2 old biddies call the cops saying I left a wake. I was in a canoe with a troll motor. I went back with something substantially larger and made sure every neighbor knew why I was there.
Having been on big lakes in a canoe, I prefer when a power boat goes by on plane. It really sucks when some idiot goes from 45mph to idle twenty feet away from you; then laughs when you almost get swamped by their friggin’ tidal wave.
