  1. We know a kid who graduated high school last year and immediately started farrier school in Montana. His parents are cattle ranchers, and he will have a solid career around here.

  2. I met a farrier who put himself through vet school back east doing that.

    Just keep one in the kitchen.

  4. Fuck! Did I ever hate doing that. The only thing than that smell is when the horse gets upset for no reason, and drops a greasy shit down your shoulder.

    My back started hurting just looking at the pic.

  5. I did that for several years. Very good money to be made, mostly cash. Still have the tools. Help neighbors with lameness, etc. , but don’t do it regularly now. You never know when the skills may come in handy. Also having the forge and anvil allows you to make some pretty cool things (tools, knives….).

  6. I don’t know much, but I know one thing- horses don’t like to wear buttplugs.
