They would not fly in Montana either I sued to issue plates and I have a BS N U plate that made it through the system until the supervisor saw it and she did not let it be issued.

Yes, Maine is different. Pretty much anything was okay on the “vanity” plates until now. This year the state decided to disallow obscenities on the plates and recalled approx. 270 that were deemed obscene or violate peoples’ sensitivities in some way.
Yeah, Florida too. They won’t allow anything that might be rude, offensive, sex related, or political. I had friends, Norman G Rxxxx, and his wife, Harriet T. Rxxxx, that had their request for a personalized tag using their initials denied for no reason!
