  1. Yep. Colorado voted for term limits in the past.
That same year they REELECTED EVERY SINGLE INCUMBENT.

  2. Allowing pols to vote for the rules for themselves is bad.
    Ditto bureaucrats and lawyers.

  3. With the thought process, or lack thereof, of most people that say they are Americans, and the proven ability of demonrats and rethuglicans to cheat in elections so they keep their advantage, I am not confident term limits would pass if voted on like this. Maybe 20 years ago. Not now.

    • About 20 -300 years ago, NYC voted for trem limits.
The city council said they weren’t bound by them and ran again.
      They won re-election.
      Reminds of Eddie Murphy’s movie.
      The Name You Know!

  4. The ancient Greeks would audit a politicians finances every year and if they found discrepancies, would execute them.

  5. We have term limits here in Florida and the only difference it has made is that when their term is up, they just run for the office down the hall. The representatives run for senate, the senators run for representative, either will run for agriculture commissioner – anything to keep that money stream turned on. The majority of the time they win because of name recognition.

Voters? Ha! They don’t give a shit about us. They run on whatever polls say is popular. It could be the opposite of what they said a couple of years ago.

  6. Term limits can be imposed anytime the political class pisses off enough of their voters. We don’t need more jaws, we need more voter participation with intelligence applied to the franchise.

  7. The only term limits we are likely to see in this country will probably have to come in grains.
Politics was never suppose to be a career, it’s suppose to be a service.
