Yeah, for all their cuteness they’re still WILD animals and their instincts can be triggered at any time by pretty much anything. They have to be raised in a household from birth, and even then Nature can rear its head occasionally.
But they seem to make good hats, for those living in North America. They also are a target of some hunters, so I assume that their meat tastes good?
Nature has provided equivalent animals in other ecosystems, like lemurs or monkeys, but no existing ones in Australasia. There are tree kangaroos (true), but they aren’t meat eaters. I suppose that quolls fit this niche role here, and are an attractive enough animal.
