    • In that short clip, he was in sixth gear right against redline. According to what I have read, the 2022 BMW M 1000 RR he rides is capable of over 200 mph.

  7. I’ve been an enduro guy since high school, ’66. Briefly, like for 2 weeks in ’79, I had a KZ1000. I was living just south of Phil, in SW vancouver, by the railroad tracks. I road it around a bit, it was fun and scary. Controllable when it should be. So, I took it out on interstate 5 a couple times, so I could accelerate through the gears to 120+. I accelerated passed that, but at that point, I was getting nervous AND paranoid, so I wasn’t looking at the speedo anymore. Sold it.
    In the late ’80s, I got a non dressed, ’77 Goldwing for doing bids all over San Diego, county for my tree service. It didn’t have the same crazy acceleration as the KZ, but it was still surprisingly fast. Those are my high points for thrilling, on road speed. I’ve had lots more off road thrills, WELL under a hunnert.

  8. 1) He had that course MEMORIZED !
    2) a small animal and he would’ve been a considerable red smear on the course.
    3) that LED tach reminded me of the ones I used to build in ’70 for drag racing.
    4) absolute faith in that engine!!
