  1. I’m looking forward to those mayors that Trump called to a meeting in DC getting their asses reamed, then thrown in jail.
    Payback!

  2. Report from a Border State:

All the residential construction projects around this part of Texas have come to a complete halt. No workers. Contractors have been leveraging illegal labor and paying them under the table.

This is the big chance for all those people with gender studies degrees to get on as construction apprentices and learn to do something useful. Who knows – maybe some of them might discover the satisfaction that comes from building something other than lattes. It could happen.

The other weird thing I’ve noticed is that the constant wail of sirens on the nearby State Highway has completely vanished. Turns out most of the police chases are initiated by illegals who don’t want to be stopped.

    • Builders that hire illegals should be sent to Mexico with their illegal crews, permanently. Loss of citizenship. I dealt with that shit for decades and was sick of it decades ago.
That goes for any employer, in my mind.

    • And crops are rotting in the fields because farm workers are too scared to show up. Wonder what that will do the the price of groceries?

      • Automation is coming for all crop harvesting. With the improvements in visual technologies married to machines that harvest crops requiring a little delicacy in harvesting, 90% of these illegals will be replaced in five years.

If a company can build a machine to harvest trees, trim the branches off and grind the branches into chips to speed decomposition, and cut the trunk into eight foot lengths all in one operation; harvesting lettuce, cabbage, melons and tree fruits can’t be far behind. Some farmers are already using machines to speed up harvesting of tree fruits, like olives, as an example.

There was a little blurb, can’t remember if it was a meme or a sentence in part of news story on raids on illegals the went something like “who’s going to pick the blueberries for my morning smoothie”?

      • There is a program that allows seasonal workers into the states and has been for decades. I’m 75 and remember when I was a boy these workers would arrive to harvest crops, then go back to their homes across the border. But workers must do it legally and are less apt to be taken advantaged of financially.
