When they started making every movie with an agenda, I stopped going, something I used to do regularly. I haven’t watched the Oscars in decades. I’ve never really been a fan of awards shows.
I read a piece written by some movie critic stating that movies were an almost perfect vehicle for informing the public about “critical issues of the time” or some such boolshit. I always thought movies were about entertainment. Then they effed up Star Wars.
