  1. Only mountains here are prairie dog mounds. Like people say- you can watch your dog run away for two weeks.

  2. yup. best move I ever made was coming up here. I met a lot of nice people.
made a few friends, granted it does take time to do up here.
leave the stupid shit to the flat landers down below.
and when it all goes to shit, the morons will find it hard to walk/climb up the hill
the nearest big town is 45-60 minutes away and downhill at 60 mph or better.
people around here do not put up with stupid shit very long.
so, yes. life is better in the highlands.

  3. This post needs to come down. We already have too many coming to the mountains and we don’t need anymore weirdos.

    • just wait until the first hard winter. that does make them change their mind about living in the hills.
some people don’t last very long after a hard winter up here.
now you understand why I put 2 wood stoves in ?
a few homes have electric heat- no a good idea up here without some back up. 2 years ago in a winter storm knocked the power lines down and the power was out for close to 3 days.
a few people sold out and left after that winter.
a buddy of mine ran his pellet stove with his genny to stay warm.
