  1. Look buddy, there is no way that I would ever take that instant “Tasters Choice” from you.
Now seeing a recent reply from Bear Claw talking about golf courses, I doubt he would be the culprit either. He’s probably more into Earl Grey.
I’m pointing the finger at, DMM. That’s how they roll in, Thermopolis.

  2. Oh boy. I remember putting up sign-up sheets in the break-area offering ‘how to make coffee’ training classes at 11:00 pm. No takers.
I remember finding the large coffee pot (one of two) empty, starting a new one, coming back 10 minutes later, and it being empty again.
No more frustrations about that since I retired 5 years ago. 🙂

    • Yep, that was one of my peeves. Started a pot of coffee at work at 6:30am, went to office, start PC, checked voice mail, went back to break room, all the coffee gone. Started a new pot, went away for 15 minutes, came back to another depleted pot. Went to the parking lot, got coffee at a local shop, never made coffee again.

      • One guy made tea coffee, I had to advise him more grinds up front add water to cup after for tea. He complied

  3. Our break room coffee was so bad I took to bringing my own Stanley thermos. Their stuff was drinkable if you got your cup as it was drizzling out of the basket, but the pot had a half life of around five minutes and was undrinkable in about fifteen.

  4. The best thing to do is start the coffee in the big Silex three or four days before you present it to be consumed so it has the general consistency of syrup (Navy coffee). It will go farther than a freshly brewed watery pot. Your troops will appreciate your efforts to make them proper coffee/mud. It will amuse many as they find that the spoon will stand up in it on its own, and they can chew before swallowing.

  5. My new boss told me to fix coffee in the morning. I don’t drink coffee, ever. So I made a pot that they could almost stand a spoon in. I did fill the entire basket with grounds. When he came to me that day and said don’t put so much coffee in when you make it. So taking him at his words I barely covered the bottom. His solution was what I wanted, I was never to make coffee again.

  6. A friend I know…would make caffeinated coffee and put it in the decaf pots, with the orange handle. One day someone wised up and a company-wide email was sent to stop doing this. He still did.
