I am so fed up with this efficient modern crap that my next automotive purchase will be an ’80s pickup with an 8′ box
That is utterly jaw-dropping. And I bet that vehicle is “programmed” to shut down every time you come to a full stop too.
This goes far beyond the stupidity I was faced with when I saw the first “Timing Chain Driven” water pump.
Even dumber than the “Electric” water pumps that BMW uses.
Oh, you KNOW the “Auto Start/Stop” was programmed in.
Whoever thought of that never drove through the Martin Luther King part of town after dark.
I needed a thermostat replace in a newer model Cadillac CT6. The dealer called to say it would be $1300!
I called him a few choice name, questioned his parental lineage and told him to leave it alone and I’d do it myself.
He then explained the get at the thermostat housing, they had to pull the intake manifold!
