  1. The real kicker about winter storms are the nanny .gov unsolicited “public service” phone calls warning you about parking on city streets and in public parking lots because SNOW. After the last one of those I got, I wrote an email to the Mayor, copying the entire board of Alderman, berating them for being a bunch of idiots and treating people that live in the Northeast like they’re too stupid to know that they shouldn’t park inpublic places during and after a snow storm until snow removal operations are completed.

I wouldn’t mind so much, but I live about three miles from downtown in a condo complex that provides its own snow removal service. You’d think that, with all of the number crunching power of modern office products like computers, they’d compare addresses to phone numbers and edit the list of calls to be made in those situations to exclude phone numbers that didn’t apply. BUT NO, they’re too smart for that, so the call EVERYONE with a phone number in town.

    Fookin’ MORONS

I closed the email out be demanding to be removed from all future such public interest calls unless the city was on fire or under attack by a foreign government. Who knows, the way things are going in the world these days, I might just get another call.

  2. I happen to like the girl I take home in a snowstorm!

Coming up on 48 years in a couple of days!
    Dang, we’re OLD…
