  1. You’d almost think all those policies attacking the food producers during the Biden years(the Lightbringer’s 3rd term) had something to do with affecting food prices.

  2. You don’t actually think the profits grocery stores have seen in the past 5 years is going to change now that Trump is president.

    • Definitely not flat. I’ve been monitoring prices or staples I routinely buy for a few years. For example, ground beef is up 13% just this YTD. I benefit from the fact the store unusually shop at has a closeout case for things too close to their sell by date.

This has afforded me multiple opportunities to buy ground chuck and sirloin in 1lb vacuum packed blocks for $4/lb, and I’ve bought dozens of packs this way and put them in the deep freeze. Last time I found such deal, I bought 15 packages, which was all they had in there. Have also bought brisket and roasts for 1/2 off normal price (with the briskets still approaching $45-50 with the discount).

They recently had 1lb vacuum packed blocks of ground pork sausage for $6/lb, I bought both packs to season and cook up as either pizza topping, or to use in sausage gravy for biscuits. I’d be shitting bricks if I had to pay full tilt for all the meat (mostly beef, but some chicken also) I’d stockpiled in my deep freeze. I really need to go in on a 1/4-1/2 a cow with my sister and BIL, they usually do a buy in October and have it butchered and packaged to taste.

  3. I think that “17 million US citizens will lose basic healthcare” line has been debunked as just another example of Schumer and the Demons lying.

  4. So, how does the energy costs look?
Energy prices pretty much determine how things are working…
    Trending down, no?
