Where I took my mom for Mother’s day, I was 16, new license, new(used) car and a weeks wage at the time. In San Jose, California. The drive-in is no longer there

Probably a homeless camp ?
Oh wow! How awesome that must have been!
I swear I’ve been to that drive-in. Was in San Jose (Capitol Expressway and Senter Road) 81-84.
That it is! I used to live about a mile and half south of that off of Senter Road… I had a job there flipping burgers, but that was back in 1974 before I went into the Army June of 1975.
Small freakin’ world, after all.
Yes it is. Thanks for telling us of that little memory of yours Derq.
Believe it or not, Falafel Drive In is still there, on Stevens Creek down the road from where Town & Country Village used to be.
Huh, Falafel Drive In? I use to have a girlfriend that her dad owned the burger joint(don’t remember the name, Dairy Belle?) at Stevens Creek and where 280 crossed. I remember the Town & Country Village. I don’t think the burger joint is still there, but what do I know…
Have you ever heard of Google earth with the street view option?
Nahh, never heard of it…Still using an old 286 Tandy laptop.
I bet Mom was so proud of you she enjoyed that meal more than any she ever made herself.
