Back in the 80s I put a Kawasaki 900 engine on a gocart, was lucky to survive that stupidity.
Who’s garage is he working in?
Ignition doesn’t look too squared away.

Old 500/550’s are pretty reliable mechanically.
Looks like there’s some work to be done yet.
I’d like to see any adult squeeze into that.
Most likely the Little Tykes cab was thrown on it for giggles after a couple 12 packs:)
OSHA approved roll-bar, don’t forget the OSHA approved flip-flops otherwise they might melt next to that exhaust.
My neighbor has a Golf cart with a Yamaha 650 Maxim inline 4 with a driveshaft going back to the rear diff. It has a 57 chevy body on it. The gearing is way off as 3rd and 5th will handle all forward motion. I creeps in reverse.

Yeah, time to put a 2.82 in there…
