looking back on things, I wished I had listen more to what a few old guys where trying to tell me. my one uncle wanted me to buy 65 acres of woodland he had
as he needed some cash for something. it was a good deal at the time.
but I was going to Germany and wanted to keep my cash.
I should have bought it. years later he logged about half of it off and made
close to 300 grand from the sale of the wood. there was a lot of prime hardwood in that tract. THAT I do regret not buying !
talk about feeling stupid. I still do when I think about it.
Those aren’t official geezers. If they were, they’d be whittling. No true geezer would be caught dead like that without whittling.
In Caddo my Dad called them the town guards.
Women have Sewing Circles.
Men have the town Hardware Store or the Gas Station.
