  1. Yeah, one of those old 70’s Fords starts at $5K for a rust bucket now.
    Trust me, I’ve been looking.
There was a part of that video when the guy sitting at the dealership says they have sensors on them now that he has never heard of. He ain’t lying.
I watch videos of guys working on this new shit and it boggles my fucking mind.
I was a Factory trained Ford/Lincoln/Mercury tech back in the 90’s and they have shit now that even I never fucking heard of and the diagnostics on some of that shit blows my mind. Even modern Scan Tools won’t touch it and you have to break out a laptop with proprietary programs on it.
I am very, very seriously thinking about paying the 5K for a early 60’s Ford truck if I can find one that isn’t completely rusted out and rebuilding it very slowly.
I miss the days when you could change an alternator or starter in 20 minutes.
Now they have trucks that you have to lift the entire cab off just to change the fucking spark plugs!!!
    It’s insanity.

    • I have a low rust ’74 dent side, F350 Super Camper Special. 460, 4bbl, Doug Thorley headers, rebuilt C6, 4.10 limited slip Dana 60 rear. Converted to dully’s, well done. Good B F G All Terrains with AT spare. Interior surprisingly good. Exterior is rustic, white with noticeable surface rust, but mostly white.
5 to maybe 7mpg. So, there’s that. Runs and drives. I used it to pull a 22x8x8, car hauler, filled with tools n heavy crap that I couldn’t ship, to Tennessee from San Diego. the trailer was rated for 10k, it was loaded to 20k. sounds like a NASCAR racer at 65 to 70. That trip was 4 to 5 mpg.
      It has potential.
      Pretty sure you need it.
