Years ago, a colleague saw me drinking coffee in the midafternoon.
“Where’d you get the coffee?”
“I brought it from home this morning.”
[making a face] “You drink your coffee cold?”
“I drink it until it’s gone.”
My wife looks at me like I’m nuts if I finish my coffee an hour after I poured it. But I was a trucker, if it was in the mug, you drank it until it was gone, no matter how long it took you.
I’m sorry – this situation never happens to me. I make it then I drink it.
I don’t drink hot coffee.
I’ve been known to nuke a cup of coffee 2 or 3 times. Nuke it, set it down and get busy then when I take a break damn cold again.

If the pot isn’t empty, I’ll pour the cup into the pot, and pour a new cup.
Repeat as needed.

I got years ago at a Runnings Coop store (fancy Tractor Supply) in Huron, South Dakota. It is stainless steel vacuum thermos cup. It keeps my coffee hot for a long time. I have a red one too but only use for milk or pop, water and it keeps it cold, especially if I put ice cubes with it.
Used to have a 64oz travel mug the kids bought me when they were little. Worked great for hot or cold. Finally gave it to one of them after a couple of decades of abuse. It’s still going 😁

You can tell how good a pizza is if you can eat it cold, straight out of the fridge. Most of the time, I try to be civilized and zap it in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds to take the chill off.
