I went to Europe in the 80s and ran out of money so I ran my card way up thanks to those.
Man was the cc company pissed off. I blew way past my limit.
I hated ’em, always ripping/jamming the paper… I was/am a klutz.
…and usually a lengthy authorization phone call to go with it.
“Knucklebusters”. After they went extinct, we kept the old forms and the unit. In 2019, a system outage affected credit card processors. We called in for authorizations and made sales.
