  1. Does everyone build in flood plain? Looks like those who build on the ocean shore and then the hurricanes come.

    • Last time it flooded like this in the area was 2021 I believe. Some of the world’s most productive farmland.

  2. This is good news for the state of Washington: a new tax will be put on rainfall, hoping that rain will go away, just like they are doing with Amazon, Microsoft and other companies.

    • Yep. Zero here in the Oregon Outback. The weather boys are saying that we’re approaching a record for the latest date with no snow at Crater Lake. The deluge is all north of Eugene.

  3. This is just down the road from me and it happens every year. Some years are worse than others, but it floods every damn year. Nothing new. Why they build homes there, I’ll never know. I understand the farmers being there, because that is the land they work, but building houses near that river is just plain stupid.

  4. like my grandfather, I have a house on a hillside. near the top.
low land is just asking for trouble.

  5. Builders put houses in flood plains because it’s cheaper. People without a clue buy said houses and then bitch when Mr. River comes a-visitin’.

Yep. lets build in a flood plain or on a coast that has hurricanes and have the Gubmint bails us stoopid voters out, raising insurance rates for ALL of us!

    Foolish Humans.

  6. They need to start pumping this extra water to calif. We need it down here since all our water is going to the ocean. Because of the libturds ruining this state.

  7. Reminds me of 2014 when we got over 22 inches in just the first 29 hours and more followed. NEVER seen rain fall as hard as it did that night. It was almost like firehoses aimed straight down on our heads.
Grabbing more sandbags to stack up around the back side of the house, I stepped into a fire ant mound and sank up to my knee. Thank God that the ants had already formed a ball and floated away.

  8. Check out the last Monkeywerx episode. He questions some dot gov plane activity recently in that AO.
