As a kid, when my dad was stationed in England for four years (Bentwaters RAFB) I got to see live steam up close and personal. Been in love with it all my life. Nuttin’ like a 4-8-8-4 chugging by you at 40-60 mph. To me they were alive…
Of course it’s a better car.
It is a Ford.

It is only better because the tracks were put on it….
Yes, years ago when it was sane to go to National parks and tourist rides and venues. Now, I stay as far away from them as I can.
You didn’t watch the video did you?
1- It’s got nothing to do with the park.
2- If it was a tourist ride I wouldn’t be taking it.
3- It’s not really about the train, it’s about an engineering marvel on tracks.
I apologize Elmo. That was a response to a comment on another blog I was answering and I transposed it. The other guy I answered there must think I am a blithering idiot too… Yes I had watched it earlier and was amazed at how that works and the guy’s cojones size that actually built the tracks up that incline. and the thought and engineering that went into that. Now, I have to go to the other blog and grovel and offer an explanation as to my oldhimers…
Heck, I’m just glad you watched it.
No apologies necessary. You just experienced the very reason I don’t blog! 🙂
Anyhoo, thanks! Keep the train stuff coming!
Thank you for understanding… One of the reason when I told Phil that I don’t mind helping out here I won’t start a blog, too much like work. With the replies I have had I am thinking of a one time a week thingy of trains unless the master sez stop or get my own damn blog.
At the end of this video, my wife and I are in the crowd on the far side of the street.

That is a way cool site, I bookmarked that to peruse at leisure… as much as I get now.
