I want to be able to afford the ammo it takes to get and stay that good…
check out SG ammo for prices. most of the time they as low as anyone else and anything over 200 gets free shipping !
they also my go to place to buy Dura mags too. buy by the 10 pack for the lowest price.
Dave, thanks for the sales pitch, but I think you missed the point. I’ve known semi-pro trap and skeet shooters that weren’t even as good as that guy. They shot an average of a hundred rounds a day. (A single round of skeet is 25 targets, a pro can run a full round with less than 30 shells, usually)
He had to shoot at least that much. Probably a lot more than that, but even that much, SG is listing their cheapest 12 gauge shells for 42 cents a piece. That is over $15,000 in ammo a year.
a lot of skeet shooters I have known, reload their own.
and the guy who taught us to shoot way back when used to shoot like that with ease.
point shooting. yes, it works.
it not that hard to master really. at my age. it takes me a magazine or two to get back in the groove.
last trip to the range I was there 2 hours more than planned. ended up teaching some younger guys how to do it. slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
and hits are the only thing that matters.
1/503 PIR a long time ago.
Can you get that in select fire?
Spin
Why? It only holds 7 rounds. If one or 2 rounds of number 4 or double ought does not do it you got other problems.
Roger this!
I would like one of those. Mount 3 or 4 of these on a jeep for inauguration day. Drive around with a I Voted for the Felon flag flying behind.
I picked up a CZ 712 semi auto that shoots that fast. I did add a magazine tube to make it 7/8 rounds. finding a pistol grip stock seems to be a problem
but I make do with the stock one. no sight like his, but I did paint some white on the very front of the rib before the dot sight, works well enough.
my grandson likes to shoot the target in half with it. and recoil is not that bad after all. a lot better than my pump shotguns anyway.
My 930 Mossberg only can gete 4 in the tube and one in the spout, and no way to get a larger tube. Bummer.
Tons of fun to fire, though. Thinking of (somehow!) adding a laser to it. I shake too much.
check out Nordic. they are the only ones making parts for the CZ. a bit pricey , but they work great ! holds 7 in the tube and one chambered. I looked for the Mossberg 930 but it was never in stock (?) and I got the CZ on sale for under 400.
2-300 rounds thru it so far and not one problem !
I like it more than my 590 or 870 anymore.
as I can shoot/unload it really fast.
Nah. Give me one of the old Red Jacket AK short barrel 12ga. 12 rounds and more compact. For room clearing I would take it over one of the MP5 clones. Just that pesky NFA thing………..
Another reason to be pissed that I missed out on the $199 Saiga 12 gauges. Being broke at the time sucked.
Illegal in the People’s Republic of Washington because it has a pistol grip and it looks mean.
My first year Rem. 1100 shoots that fast. The 1100 is famous for it’s soft recoil. 24″ barrel with matching mag tube and synthetic furniture.. Are there better shot guns out there? Yep, but not by much.
My father’s 1100 was a cabinet queen, because it was so unreliable. Twenty years after he got it, it went back to Remington, for a stock that had cracked while sitting in the cabinet. Remington fixed the stock for free and alleviated the problems with it cycling. I guess it works now, but he wouldn’t take it out because he couldn’t trust it. That job goes to his 500 Mossy.
Owning a M3000 Sporting, I wouldn’t be at all adverse to getting one of Stoeger’s Tactical line of M3000 series of shotguns. They are good enough that Benelli bought them a few years back. Some parts even interchange between the two. Being an inertia gun, they cycle fast and run clean. Also about a third to half as much as a Bennelli as well.
$1500 plus sights?
Get yourself a Mossy 500, or Remmy 870 with an extended tube with sights for 1/2 the price.
Or, Saiga 12 comes with a 20 round drum mag. Lots of goodness!
Neat, but a shoulder killer I suspect.

There is also a fair amount of aftermarket support for them as well. Midwest Gun Works and MOA Precision have plenty of replacement and Race Gun parts for the M3000.
