  1. Back in the early 80’s I had a buddy that had the 70’s panel van version of the VW bus. It was a bit strange as it had the two front doors and the rear hatch.

  2. The “modern” microbusses suck. Technology slouches on, as it were…

There’s some real fine vehicles there, especially the first one – beautiful job!

  3. Check out this joint in my town of current residence……
vuhvanagon.com It was on Barn Find Hunter not too long ago…..

  4. I learned to drive in my parents microbus, and still remember the little pedals feeling more like a toy car than something real.
One younger brother became a VW mechanic, and the time he and his buddies crammed a Porsche engine into one was a riot. He loved to pull alongside a truck grinding up a long grade, drop a gear, and peel out passing him. Got a lot of looks with that.
The bar bus is great, a real class act.

  5. Drove a 65 bus for 10 years. Could have the engine out in an hour. I have good memories of it, but I wouldn’t want one now, even one of the fancy ones. I had an accident in mine, shouldn’t have walked away from it.

  6. first car i bought, was in the army in the 80’s, was one of those rabbit pu’s…little diesel…wasn’t a bad little car…
