  1. The convertibles are pretty slick looking. The red baron not so much but funny.

  2. Out-bloody-standing! Love the black VW ‘truck’ in the first picture. Want.

  3. What’s this word “snow” you speak of?
Sweating my ass off down here in Florida changing my battery and headlights…still have grass to cut a little later.

    • It is white, a more solid state of water and it is cold and just a PTA and slippery as hell when ice is underneath… Want me to import some to ya Sedition?

      • I could damn sure use a bit for a couple of days. (We shut down like little bitches when a snowflake falls down here.) Been hot as hell, and thunderstorms are slated for this week.

  4. Gawd, I want a VW.

I am told they are a dream to work on, and even a novice like me could get a good start on basic mechanics by working on them. I know the ultralight flyers around here just love the power plants for their airplanes…

    • My first car was a hand-me down ’66 Beetle. Yeah, easy work on engine, open the hatch, sit on a stool and it was pretty much all in your face. Very sparse functions and had power nothing.

Gas tank cover was on driver’s side inside trunk and the battery was underneath the rear seat passenger side. Germans put their shit everywhere – funky as hell.

Pretty cool car, had a lot of personality. Kind of like an enclosed Jeep, the VW Thing even more so. That is the one would like now.

  5. My first vehicle was a ’55 or ’56 bug. It was all rusted out, but ran very well.
