Touring A Philipino Factory That Makes Brand New Reproduction WWII Willys Jeeps

I had no idea this was a thing.

Apparently you can buy a brand spanking new Old School Jeep.

Actually, you stick their body on a Wrangler frame…

And the trailers they used behind them.

They also make Aftermarket Off Road parts for the newer Jeeps too.

Where I work they have some of the same kind of lasers that they are using in the video to cut the parts out of the sheet steel with.

It’s interesting if you have never seen it before.

I have uploaded two videos as they highlight two aspects, the first is actual production and the second is a tour with the owner who explains a lot about it.

Both also diverge into different subjects so when you get to that point in the video just stop.

  1. I love the Willys that races on the interstate and wins.
They trick the unsuspecting in ricers and other “sporty” mobiles to race while having some horsepower under the hood.
There is the lowrider Willys that can’t be used any place with railroads, potholes, uneven surfaces.
Jeeps are a construct of the white male patriarchy and will be redistributed. (s/)

  2. Hehe….they have to make reproductions of the old Willys jeeps because they made balisong knives out of all the originals that were kicking around over there. Batangas is famous for it.

  3. WHOA Spooky, this week I was jonesing for a “jeep ” and I found this factory web site.
And now you are tempting me with this post…..KARMA!!!!!!@

  4. The original Jeeps are cool as hell… unfortunately they seemed to be made for little 140lb guys that were 5’6”

    • They were made for the average soldier. The average height of the North American population increased by 6 inches in the 20th century. Improvements in diet thanks to advances in farming and transportation (refrigerated trucks, etc) made it possible to have plentiful and varied food all year round.

  5. Fun to look at but that about it. About like lookin at a nasty magazine while you “borrow” your little brother’s sock.

  6. Geez, don’t let my Middle Daughtersaurus see this (or any related) sites, she’s been wanting a CJ-2 since she was a little kiddo!

  7. That is a copy of the Ford version of the Jeep. It has 9 slat for the grill, Willis only had 7. If I was going to build it up I would cut it in half to add the frame extender and sheet metal to turn it into a Scrambler. It needs a drivetrain, steering, and axles. A rebuilt 90’s VW Passat Diesel mated to a TKO 5-speed with a New Process transfer case going to a modern front and rear axles/suspension with rack & pinion steering would complete it. Also add a removable hard top and vintage AC. My guess with my modifications it would come in at about $35k total price. OR take a 4 cylinder pre-2012 Ford Ranger 4×4 as a donner and re-build the engine and go through the axles, transmission, and transfer case. That route could drop total price to $22k or less.

  8. Tell me friends, should I kick my brothers ass for selling his CJ5 knowing I told him if he ever wanted to sell I’m buyin. He was pissed that I was at the time pissed at him?
