Even the country (?) music radio stations suck.
sucked since “you stepped on my heart and made that sucker flat” went away
“there’s a tear in my meth bag” just doesn’t have the right swing to it.
“They’re”, not “there”, and there should be a comma after “Waylon”.
Our music may not be to your liking but at least we can spell!
Are you being a grammar nazi Oldtoosoon? I just find the meme, I knew it was not spelled and punctuated correctly. The sentiment was what I was after. I like Country and Western music and what is being played today sucks frog farts.
I too thought the Meme was funny and its sentiment was in the right place. I can’t listen to country music written after about 1980, maybe 85. It just sounds too damned cringey. I can, though, listen to Bluegrass all day long. However, I learned the difference between There, They’re and Their in the second grade…
Finnish bluegrass group Steve’n’Seagulls play some interesting stuff, watch on You Tube. Try “Thunderstruck’ (AC/DC).
Luke Bryan is the worst.
8 or so years ago, the kid introduced me to the term, “hick-hop” when I started bitching about some craptastic “country” song just played on the radio.
Sure miss the ol’, “Lyin’, dyin’, and cryin’ in mah beer over you” music.
