    • maybe so. but MOM there doesn’t look too happy about what is going on with her kids. I have seen that look before and it not a good look from a pit. or maybe this is her first time with the pack on too?
either way, she is giving the warning look to someone.
had a big baby of a red nose pit. but even he would give that warning look before things went too far or if something was going on he didn’t like. Dude was a great dog other than his gas problem.
we tried EVERYTHING. vet and me both. damn dog would run you out of the room with his gas/smell.

      • never got attacked by a dog before. but then again, I do mind what is going on with them. most of them will give you a sign
or warning that you going too far. the thing is when they snap, they do it fast ! pits seem faster than rotties as a rule
but the one that amazed me with his speed was a roadie ridgeback. Slim could take out a coon faster than any other dog that I seen do it before. we didn’t even know the damn thing was close by and he jumped it and it was dead in seconds like. he was a great watchdog. really good with kids. ANY KIDS. ask my neighbors ! he loved their grandkids. one guy used to call me to come get my dog so he could bring HIS kids in the house. he said he never made a sound, just stood between him and the kids.
as Slim was a good 110 pounds of bone and muscle, he used to call me to come get him instead of taking a chance.
hell, him and his wife both loved the damn dog. they said they never worried about their kids if he was out there with them. so, whoever has that pack thing on that dog, should stop right now. as I said before, MOMA doesn’t look too happy about it.

  1. Yeah, I’m really not liking the expression on mom’s face. Have seen that before, and split the scene post haste before said dog (potentially) went savage. I’m totally comfortable with dogs, and even pits don’t normally worry me much. But I step lightly around them, and always maintain heightened awareness of their demeanor, as I do with Rotties and a few other breeds that are high strung, or prone to having hair triggers.

I had a (probably stray) pitbull mix charge me once on the street, was the closest I’ve come to getting chewed up. Luckily I was able to make a quick escape to the safety of my truck. I’ve no doubt I’d have been in a world of hurt otherwise.
