True enough. But there is also “elite privilege” of the wealthy and well connected, and that generally assures they won’t be subject to prosecution. Somehow, they always find a way of getting a pass, save for a few very limited examples.
So as I see it, none of these sonsabitches are going to face justice unless those of us lower on the food chain decide to string them up for what they’ve done. That hasn’t happened yet, despite countless insults and injuries we’ve suffered under their “leadership”. I don’t know what it takes to trot out the guillotines, but I am rather discouraged by the fact it hasn’t already happened.
And no, I don’t believe Trump is going to do any such thing. He may out on a good show insofar as knocking down various bullshit (as appears to be the case so far) but I simply don’t see him punishing those who are actually responsible for any of it. And if I turn out to be wrong in that line of thought, I’ll be all too pleased to admit it.
