This Isn’t New, It’s How We Got here

Fucking scare tactic bullshit here

@resistfortyseven

We’re not one country anymore. We’re 12 legal nations under one name. This Supreme Court ruling just made it official. #SCOTUS #CircuitSplit #LegalApartheid #DividedStates #PreCivilWar #TikTokPolitics #VotingRights #ReproductiveRights #SupremeCourt

  1. What does it mean when one pissant District Court Judge can overturn the actions of a President Federal law nationwide?

  2. Just means the different rulings make it to the Supreme court for final say so , big deal.

  3. The dumbass must not understand that each of the 50 states have their own laws, and each state’s counties/parishes (thanks Louisiana) have their own laws, and every city has their own laws.

  4. The Circuit Court system was created specifically to control political dissent. At that, it has succeeded spectacularly well. If it weren’t for the Circuits, we would have rebelled and fought another civil war decades ago.

  5. I understood it as only the Supreme Court can issue a nationwide injunction, but the district courts can only issue injunctions that affect the parties to the lawsuit. To enjoin large swaths of the population (within that district), a class action lawsuit must be filed which is a bit more complicated, dificult and time consuming. But I’ve been wrong before.

  6. Dissolve the federal government entirely and let us return to being 50 sovereign states. Hopefully more dissolution will happen internally there as well. We were NOT being protected by being one nation either, as the real tyranny originates in DC to begin with. And without the cancer of DC impacting the behavior of the 50, the citizens might have a better chance at fixing their local issues.

  7. It’s all for the lawyers to profit, that’s why most law makers are lawyers.

    The lawyers win every case not the plaintiffs or respondents.
