yup. I taught every one of my girls how to shoot and then some.
btw, the wife has her own 1911 in 45 acp. and 38 stubby she keeps
with her at all times.
both of my girls “got” a gift when they moved out.
I made sure they knew it and how to care for it.
and a few hundred rounds for it as well.
it a rather cheap price to pay instead of crying after something happened. the oldest girl husband called one night to ask me how she learned to shoot so well. ( she out shot him with his own guns)
so, I sent out a old picture I had of her at 13 or so.
at a rifle range when I couldn’t find/get a sitter. steel pot on her head and shooting a M-16 on full auto. simple, unhook the rear sling and stand on it. and you can shoot as well as any man there.
but back then the army was a bit more understanding too.
