Yeah, but can you find the one you had in your hand just a few minutes ago? And has Phil or Cederq ever got over having to buy brand new 10mm sockets, when they know the missing ones will turn up, one day?
That patternmakers vise makes me green with envy. And speaking of green, you’d better have plenty of it if you want to buy one. I’d also like to know how much $ he has in wooden moulding planes.
But you can have too many of one kind and not enough of others…obviously
I’m tool rich and shop and money poor. My shop sort of looks like Phil’s garage…full of stuff and no room to work.
Ahh yes, the Emmert’s Turtleback Pattern Maker’s Vise. Looks complete with all necessary parts and in like new condition. Probably a couple grand, if you can find one.
He looks depressed because he is missing that one router plane.
I have gobs of tools and feel like I should part with at least some of them to save my wife the hastle when I’m gone. Discretion in the culling is my problem.
You CAN have too many of the same tool, though – you can’t find the one you need, so you go out and buy another one, and the old tool is waiting for you on the bench (or wherever) right when you get back. Tools will do that…
