  1. There is a lot of discussion about this on X, and a lot of people willing to do it. With the fraud and legal theft we have been reading about for the past 2 weeks, maybe it is time. Last time I looked, there were over 135 million views of the original Nick Shirley video, which means there are a LOT of pissed off Americans out there. If people actually do this, the money goons will not be pleased, which bothers me not at all, and should bother them, because some Citizens will not comply. Just a thought for them to ponder.

    • public execution by guillotine of public officials (including judges) found guilty of crimes in the public square every Sunday after church
BBQ available, please bring lunch basket

  2. My thought is that most of my federal taxes are automatically withdrawn before I ever get my paycheck. I guess I could max out my deductions to reduce the withdrawal, but I doubt my company would just stop the withdrawal completely. They don’t want the legal liability.

But yes, this is probably the only way.

    • That was my first thought, although lying on a federal form to minimize deductions is a separate crime from tax evasion for which the pardon would apply. Unless you’re truly financially independent, the government has you by the short hairs. I rely on them to pay me back the SS they stole from me over the years.

      • as you’ll find out, the dollar you paid into Social Security, when you retire after 25/30 years of hard work, is now worth (has the buying ability) of $0.10/10¢.
It’s known as legalized government theft

        • Abso-fucking-lutely. I’m on the edge of retirement and looking at my 401k, three different pensions, and my SS benefits all together might allow me to maintain my current lifestyle. But of those, the SS benefit barely covers my liquor bill. Hell, if that was all I was relying on, I’d never retire. 10 cents on the dollar is being generous.

  3. They’ll just print more money out of thin air further debasing what little value remains in the dollar.

Bribem’s 38% inflation in one year effectively killed the dollar. The rest of the global economy’s that trade using dollars are just waiting for it to lie down.

As to not paying, it’s a good idea foiled by federal law holding companies accountable for doing .gov’s job for them.

  4. And the thing is,…the number 1 most effective stimulus program possible on the planet – more effective than anything ever proposed or done – would be to suspend the income tax for just 1 year. But when the Earth doesn’t crack open and swallow us all to our doom, everyone will look around at great that was and how effective it was and say “You know what, we should do that one more time”. Which is why they will NEVER allow it to happen.

  5. We had some close friends many years ago who joined a tax revolt group, because they were convinced the 16th amendment was never validly ratified. They both ended up doing hard time for it. I said at the time that if you want to be a martyr for a cause, all well and good, but they had two small boys at the time, and I found it unconscionable to do that to your family.

  6. Bog down the IRS with poorly handwritten (but accurate) tax returns. Then perhaps they might make a change. A revolt won’t work because true taxpayers are few and far between, only the highest incomes pay any Fed tax. Most returns pay hardly anything, or are only submitted to take Earned Income Credit and other freebies. (IOW taxpaying negative amounts)

But handwritten such that the automated document scanners can’t handle it? Make a for real IRS person work for it.

  7. The IRS is a rogue agency. Regardless of what the administration tells them they WILL crucify people who openly defy the collection of taxes. If a tax revolt were to be allowed it wouldn’t take much for such a revolt to expand. And the criminals in power are NOT going to allow that.
