Chevy’s New “LT-6” DOHC V8 Is A Nuclear Warhead For The Z06 Corvette!
DOHC, 4 valves-per-cylinder, Flat Plane Crankshaft, 8600RPM redline, and Six-Hundred Seventy Horsepower from 333 Cubic Inches……..astounding.
No superchargers or turbochargers; This is pure, Naturally Aspirated, RPM-driven, Horsepower.
Read all about it here in Don Sherman’s great article.
What a monster, wouldn’t mind putting that in my Chevy pick up….
Damn…..All I have to do now is win the lottery!
There was a company called Weslake that made a small run of 4 valve heads for small block GM engines in the mid-seventies. I remember reading that they worked well but the project never went far.
What kind of MPG can it get and how is it on emissions. It it doesn’t help GM meet CAFE standards or the EPAs emission standards it’s pointless as the Fed Gov will keep it from coming to market.
It meets all required standards, so the feds can’t do squat.
And they’ll make so few of them it won’t affect GM’s CAFE ratings…
Now, THAT would be fun to put in a boat!!
I wonder if that would fit in the 74 Stingray…
I had a ’67 with a 427 L88, this would be better and lighter. I only goy 11 to 14 mpg out of it back in the early 70’s. And 230 BHP.
