  1. Added to my to do list!

I have a goofy rhythm at elevated heart rate. On the treadmill years ago the nurse thought I was having a heart attack right there. Other hilarity ensued during my heart cath as well. Doc said pipes were clean.

  2. True story from my cardiac unit. I admitted a male, late twenties with elevated troponins and cocaine associated cardiac ischemia. Hooked him up to telemetry and did his admission. Cardiac cath was scheduled for the next morning. He asked if his “sister” could spend the night. He was in a private room, so yes, family support is encouraged.

Later in the evening, his telemetry unit started alarming to my phone. Tachycardia, irregular rhythm and a lead missing. Raced to his room to check on him. Opened the door and his “sister” was straddling him on the bed humping away. She was fully clothed, he in his boxers. He pushed her off of him, jumped out of bed and proclaimed “she’s not my sister, she’s not my sister!” Let’s hope not 😂. Took all my self control not to bust out laughing.

    I have stories.
