#16 is a Bond Minicar. It’s powered by a 197cc single cylinder Villiers bike engine: you had to lift the bonnet to kickstart it!
Thank the Lord mostly none of those bird brained ideas ever made it to main stream. Then we have EV’s, the least energy efficient transportation idea to ever come from the minds of men.
Love the amphibians.
And a big FU to the designers that put a full glass top greenhouse on those things. Have they never driven a car in the deep south? The sun will kill you! Every one of them needs to come down to Houston, get in a car sitting in full sunlight on a 100 degree summer day, and – wearing shorts – sit on the the vinyl seats. Egads the memories.
Early day Daryl Starbird specials.
In my utes I got to ride in one of those Ay Ell types, I thought I was cool.
I think the person that came up with the concept of the not Phil’s sprite was actually a bra designer. They were into points.
Why would anyone modify a Kettenkrad? I think they’re just fine as produced.
They were horrible machines; impossible to steer.
Which one is a Kettenrad?
The tracked motorbike with the single wheel up front, #19.
K-rads are actually pretty Cool. It was designed as a small Tractor for a Towed Anti-Tank Gun (maybe a 30-mm, not sure) and the Wheel in the Front was added to prevent it from Flipping Over Forwards downhill, and crossing Ditches. On hard level ground, the Wheel is barely in Contact; Steering is mostly done like any Tracked Vehicle, Clutch/Brakes on each Track, connected to the Handlebars. They are ‘Hard to Steer’, I’ve Driven one once.
The 25th one down looks like it was inspired by Gerry Andersons “Supercar” which is harking back to when I were lad, after war etc.
yeah, but are they EV?

With my all-time favorite “WTF is Wrong With You?” car, the Ave Mizar.

I can still remember the theme tune more than 60 years later but can I remember where I left the car keys? Like hell I can. Doh!
Pure awesome.
I just knew Bucky Fuller would be in there.
Fuller is an interesting guy.
When a man has a welder, an idea, and time to kill.
Are you SURE they are “ideas” and not nightmares? ‘Cause I sure can’t tell the difference…
