Speaking of Phil’s wish list electric truck… I know he wants one, feels he is in the cockpit of a TIE fighter.

Ford’s new Lightning frunk platform:

Ford’s new patent for it’s electric truck includes a working platform that slides out from the front bumper with storage compartments and a drawer.

    • Why? Those are categories I can assign to each of my posts, I assigned it Cederq’s Stupid shit and Ford. One, it is stupid shit, an electric D cell pickup and it is a Ford patent. Leigh should be rolling in his grave when he dies…

    • C’mon man, it has the tool box in front so you can quickly fix it when you stop at a stop light or the side of the road to pick up chicks.

    • I suppose FoMoCo is still trying to use that slogan from days of yore, “Ford, The Better Idea”. I’m with you on this Phil. Those trucks aren’t going to catch on anytime soon. I drove one one them. I have lake neighbor who is also a good friend that owns a Ford dealership. Ford gave him one to demo. We were talking about fast cars/trucks and he said that electric job was one of the fastest he’d been in form 0-60+. It was very fast. I think he told me the battery weighed 8500 lbs. It was very nice with all of the bells and whistles and loaded with hi-tech gadgetry. All of this, but the thing could travel less than 200 miles before charging. I asked him where he was going to charge it. He grinned and said it wasn’t 200 miles from the lake to his house in MS. So, he is charging it at his lake home and dealership. I asked him if he thought they’d catch on and he replied, “not anytime soon”. That one was $80k. I imagine the .gov incentives offered since Bribem has been in office is “CLASSIFIED”.
