Couple that with gas, oil and fuel increases of OVER 100% and the squeeze is on.

Are you sure it isn’t my strength? I have had to live for the most part by my wits, figure things out away from family, friends, local establishments that know me. Make do and adapt, overcome and not eat crayons… I have had to rely on myself and push my limits. I actually find freedom in it. If I don’t like a place, or find something better I can move there. It has taught me a different type of discipline and planning. You think RVing is an easy way of life? Much more fraught with danger and ruin. Not facing a bear or lion kind of danger, the unknown two legged variety. I have to read people better and make hard decisions about people I come across. Your head is on a swivel 25/8/366. People believe you are isolated and vulnerable, you have to shy them away from that optic,, harshly sometimes. It does have a siren call, much like the drifters and cowpokes and traders of 150, 200 years ago. One month I can be catching sunfish and crappies in Alabama and eating good, next month watching the sun come over the Grand Canyon and eating tamales and chili rellenos… couple months later fishing for trout in Wyoming….
I might point out that travel takes fuel, and when TSHTF there won’t be much to go around…

I like having a wall to my back, a group of people that mostly think alike and the ability to store way more provisions that will fit in either my truck or camper. This is nothing new to you. My very first conversations with you were about me being concerned about you.
I agree this life isn’t for everybody. You have to make sacrifices, you have to be willing to take risk. Too many years I stayed close to where I grew up, only traveling a state or two away, but back in two weeks or a month to grind the salt. It is interesting to see sunrise and sunset over different tree or hill or across the plains or desert. I can see the end of it, what with whats going on with our country. cheap gas, cheap places and you can live comfortably on about $700 a month living in your trailer, but the normies were convinced to buy that RV and prices went sky high.

It will start in one of the big coastal enclaves, either San Fransisco or NYC would be my guess. But you can bet your ass it will be heading for the rural areas quickly as there ain’t many farms in either of those hellholes.
