  1. it works when nothing else does. nothing says leave me alone like a good ass beating. one must remember that it is fear of getting hurt that keeps most people inline or behaving shall we say. as they say, stupid should hurt.

    • There IS such a thing as Terminal Stupidity. I have met a few, who – of course – are no longer with us.

  2. One bleeding-heart type asked me in a recent interview if I did not agree that ‘violence begets violence.’ I told him that it is my earnest endeavor to see that it does. I would like very much to ensure — and in some cases I have — that any man who offers violence to his fellow citizen begets a whole lot more in return than he can enjoy.

Reminds me of a song! Violence, by Mott the Hoople:

    • Wow! Thanks for the reference. My favorite Mott the Hoople song is “Death May Be Your Santa Claus!”

      • I wasn’t aware of Mott until, I think, 1976. But then, grade school years weren’t exactly the time to discover early punk (proto-punk?). Back then, I think the Jackson 5 got more airplay than anything else, and bands like Mott wouldn’t have gotten any, on the stations I listened to. Hey what do you expect from AM?

  3. Violence may not be the answer, but it is one of the possible solutions. To discount it makes you subservient, a slave, to kowtow to their overbearing.

We have seen where that has led many of the weak…

  4. “Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms”
