When I worked in the Gulf of Mexico, the spiders would fly in from the Yucatan, cover the platforms with webs, and it would like a scene from a horror movie.
Their just living the life.
Spider were found inside the Space Shuttle.
Wind-borne is also how they get to islands far out to sea.
