    • Stop Autoplay Videos
To stop autoplay videos, you can adjust settings on specific platforms, apps, and browsers.

On YouTube, open the app, tap your profile icon in the top right, select “Settings,” then “Autoplay,” and choose “Off” to prevent videos from automatically playing after the current one ends.

For Facebook, open the app, tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines), go to “Settings & Privacy” > “Settings,” then under “Media and Contacts,” select “Videos and Photos” and choose “Never Autoplay Videos”.

On LinkedIn, tap your profile icon, select “Settings & Privacy,” then “Account preferences,” and change the “Autoplay videos” setting to “No”.

On Twitter (X), open the app, tap your profile icon in the top left, select “Settings and privacy,” then “Data usage,” and set “Video autoplay” to “Never”.

For Instagram, on mobile, go to your profile, tap the three lines, select “Settings” > “Account” > “Cellular Data Use,” and toggle on “Use Less Data” (iOS) or set “High Resolution Media” to “Never” (Android) to stop videos from auto-playing.

In Firefox, click the three horizontal lines in the top right, go to “Settings,” then “Privacy & Security,” click “Settings” next to “Autoplay,” and choose “Block Audio and Video” to prevent all autoplaying media.

In Safari, open the Safari menu, select “Preferences,” go to the “Auto-Play” tab, and choose “Never Auto-Play” to block all video autoplay.

In Microsoft Edge, go to “Settings,” then “Cookies and site permissions,” select “Media autoplay,” and choose “Block” to stop videos from playing automatically.

For Chrome, there is no built-in setting to block autoplay, but you can use a third-party extension like AutoplayStopper to prevent videos from playing without your permission.

On Netflix, click your profile icon, go to “Account,” then “Playback settings,” and uncheck “Autoplay previews whilst browsing on all devices”.

On Reddit, click your username, select “User settings,” go to “Feed settings,” and toggle off “Autoplay media”.

For YouTube on a web browser, click the gear icon on the bottom-right of the video player while a video is playing and toggle “Autoplay” to off.

You can also manage autoplay settings for individual websites in Firefox and Safari by clicking the site’s icon in the address bar and adjusting the Autoplay permissions.

      • You were nicer than I would have been, I would have scorched his ass and spammed it. This is the second time he has posted with caps on, I gave him a warning the first time, I guess some people are just head hard a 2X4 ain’t gonna clue him in.
