Lived in England a while. 1990 when they only had 4 TV channels. Used to watch the sheepdog trials which were on often. It is definitely a thing.
Border Collies are smart, loyal, and a pain in the ass, but I love the breed! My first guy lived until about 12. Broke my heart when he died. After a long break in between, I have another good boy who still acts young for 11.

We had mutts for dogs. They seem to last longer than the pure bred.
