As a former type 1 and type 3 VW owner (loved them) that’s just funny right there.
Not nearly as bad as marrying something like a Vega or a Corvette to a jeep running gear.
I had a Bug for a little while.
3 trips to the junk yard for transaxel replacement. The first time it took me about 4 hours to swap. The 3rd time 45 minutes. Each one was bad.
Counter man on the 4th try: of course they were bad from out in the yard. We only bring the good ones in to the shelf!
I saw that or a replica a few weeks ago on I-20 in east texas. I thought it was scrap metal until I saw a video a week later of that POS driving aroud… EVERY motor vehicle has the potential to be a piece of garbage if its properly abused and neglected.
